God's Will

So I was challenged the other night at church to look up all the verses that had the phrase God's Will in them. This is what I found, pretty interesting.

1. First Peter 2: For it is God's Will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.

2. First Peter 3: It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

3. First Peter 4: So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

4. First Thessalonians 4: It is God's will that you should learn how to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him.

5. First Thess. 5: Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

6. Second Corinthians 8: And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will.

7. Romans 12: Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices. holy and pleasing to God- this is your spitual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.
